The 2024 Jigikai Spring Conference.
2024.5.29
Hello. I’m Miyazaki, a second-year master’s student.
From May 22nd to 24th, I participated in the Spring Technical Conference of the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan held at Pacifico Yokohama. My colleague Kakizawa and I presented at the student poster session. Since we presented for three days straight, I was a bit tired on the final day. However, since there were many other students presenting around me, I didn’t feel too nervous.
During discussions with professionals from automotive companies involved in engine development, I felt the difference between research at university and research in the industry, and I believe I gained new perspectives on my own research. Also, while explaining my research to professionals specializing in fields other than combustion, as well as to professors and students from universities, I realized that I need to improve my explanation skills to address questions about things I hadn’t previously considered. I hope to apply these lessons to my next presentation.
