the 61st Japan Heat Transfer Symposium

2024.6.3

Hello!
This is Moriyama from M1.

From May 29th to 31st, I participated in the 61st Japan Heat Transfer Symposium held in Kobe, where M1’s Igusa, Ishida, and I gave oral presentations. It was the first conference presentation for the three of us. Before the presentations, we were naturally nervous, but thanks to the guidance from seniors and professors, we were able to calmly give our presentations and answer questions. Since the symposium mainly focused on heat transfer, there were fewer sessions on combustion, but we were able to learn about research from various perspectives, which I believe was a valuable experience. At the venue, I also had the chance to meet Akiha, who graduated last year, and we were able to catch up on each other’s recent activities.

On a side note, our return flight was canceled, so we had to switch to the Shinkansen bullet train for our journey back. It was an unexpected situation, but I sincerely felt relieved that the incident occurred on the return trip because if the outbound flight had been canceled, we wouldn’t have made it in time for the presentation.

With the confidence gained from this presentation, I am determined to continue working hard on my research and future conferences!

That’s all from Moriyama!
