Hello! This is Tsunoda, a third-year doctoral student.

The first academic conference the Maruta Lab participated in for the 2025 academic year was ASPACC 2025, held in Singapore.
From our lab, Prof. Maruta and Asst. Prof. Morii gave invited talks at the pre-conference workshop, while Moriyama (M2) and I gave oral presentations.
(Additionally, a related presentation was given by Asst. Prof. A.K. Dubey from IIT Roorkee.)

As the presentations were thematically connected within our lab, it was a valuable opportunity to receive feedback from various perspectives on each talk.
Selected outstanding presentations from ASPACC will be published in the Proceedings of the Combustion Institute, and we observed several well-refined presentations during the conference.

Singapore offered a wide variety of restaurants from across Asia, including Japan, so we didn’t have much trouble with meals.
Before we had a chance to feel homesick for Japan, it was already time to return home!

The famous tourist attractions like the Merlion were, of course, wonderful, but what left a strong impression on me personally was encountering lizards about 1 meter long that were roaming freely in the botanical garden.
