Hello! This is Saito, a first-year master’s student.
The imoni season has arrived once again!
In previous years, we held our imoni party on the riverbank of the Hirose River, but this year it took place indoors as a joint event with the Nakamura Lab.
Although the weather was not ideal on the day, we enjoyed delicious sake and other drinks while deepening connections across labs in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
There were two types of imoni: the Sendai-style and the Yamagata-style—one with a soy sauce base and the other with a miso base. Both were so tasty that they were gone within about an hour!
Thanks to the creative ideas of our B4 and M1 cooking team, we also had tandoori chicken, which was very well received by participants.
We hope this imoni party provided a refreshing break for our M2 and D3 members who are preparing their master’s and doctoral theses, and that it will energize them for their research activities ahead.
