Welcome Party for New Students

With the fresh green season and gentle sunlight, it has become the most comfortable time of the year.
Nice to meet you. I’m Saito, a new first-year master’s student (M1), and I will be working with you this year.
On May 2nd, a welcome party was held to celebrate the start of the new laboratory members. There, we had the chance to enjoy rare local delicacies such as sea pineapple (hoya), a specialty of Sendai that is not often tasted elsewhere, allowing us to savor the unique local flavors.
Also, the conversations were lively, and I was able to hear stories rarely shared in the lab as well as surprising sides of the professors, making it a very enjoyable time. Through this welcome party, I feel that our teamwork has grown stronger.
Taking this as a starting point, I want to devote even more effort to my research and continue growing!
